Present Unique Metalwork Exhibition
Two Artists and Sisters Introduce the Art of Metalwork to the Loyola Community
What:
The Crown Center Gallery kicks-off its 2008 season with the grand opening of its first metalwork exhibition, Kosak and Kamal “Side by Side” Metal-smiths, on January 18, 2008.
In this exhibition, metal-smith artists, Kelly Malec-Kosak and Kathleen Malec Kamal, go beyond the art of traditional metal-making, and create unique and thoughtful work in metal-smith design and jewelry. Their work demonstrates how two women, and sisters, interpret modern life and their relationships.
The exhibition is free and open to the public.
When:
Grand opening: Friday, January 18, 2008, 5 – 8 p.m.
Exhibition Dates: January 18 to February 23, 2008
Gallery Hours: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday
Noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, and by appointment

Why:
This is the first exhibition of metalwork art displayed at the Crown Center Gallery in its 25-year existence, and also the first time the two sisters have shared and displayed their work together.
