Wicked: Behind the Emerald Curtain

Wicked actors, Jill Hayman and Don Richard, host this exciting event which provides the audience a deeper look into the making of this Broadway hit. Hayman and Richard will share the story behind the story of Wicked, which received 10 Tony Award nominations in 2004, and a 2004 Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle award for outstanding musical.

The presentation will include a behind-the-scenes look at the creative and complicated process of bringing a show like Wicked to the Broadway stage. Jill and Don will also discuss their own involvement in Wicked, including how they landed their roles. Finally, they’ll also touch on their calling as actors, reflecting on the challenges and successes they have experienced along the way.

Wicked: Behind the Emerald Curtain is hosted by Evoke, a campus-wide initiative helping students, faculty, and staff of Loyola to explore and deepen their understanding of their callings, and encouraging them to live their dreams. The Wicked behind-the-scenes experience will allow everyone to catch a glimpse of how people can overcome challenges when they believe in the power of their dreams and goals.
