With the tragic events taking place at Virginia Tech earlier today, this week’s scheduled “CAPS at College” meeting, hosted by Loyola’s Department of Community Relations, is a great opportunity to ask questions and share your concerns with both Campus Safety and the Chicago Police Department (CPD) while also learning about new safety initiatives on our campus.

Please join us this Thursday, April 19, from 5-6 p.m. in Damen Hall, room 439, as Campus Safety and the CPD discuss local crime statistics, safety on and around Loyola’s campus, ways for our University community to remain safe, and a number of other safety-related topics.

In the past year, there have been a number of new campus safety advances (i.e. installation of more security cameras, armed officers, opening of the Granville Substation, etc.); however, we’re always looking for feedback on ways in which the CPD and Campus Safety can keep Loyola and Rogers Park safer for all of us.

Please attend if possible. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, please contact Summur Roberts, community relations program coordinator, at 773-508-7453.
