In Land and Sea, DoDo Jin Ming focuses on the drama of the natural world and the awesome power of nature in both her seascapes series, Free Element, and her landscape series, Behind My Eyes. In his lecture, James Yood will explore Ming’s photography as a contemporary counterpart to the older tradition of painting in the “sublime” movement popularized in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
