Last week Loyola hosted an Activities Fair for all students to come and learn about the different clubs and societies. All the tables had candy and baked goods to catch students attention and strike up conversations about their group. Loyola offers over dozens of different opportunities to get involved, grow professionally, and make friends.

The different organizations serve many different purposes. Some are there to offer support and resources to its members. Others are about activism inside and outside of the school. Most are a combination of both. All clubs have a heavy emphasis on networking and resources for future employment. For example, the Sports and Law Entertainment Society “seeks to serve those that want to learn about and discuss the latest legal news in the sports and entertainment industries.” But also, for fun they host a dodge ball tournament.
I joined the International Law Society (they had doughnuts at their table). The following week I attended the first meeting and information session. This group brings in speakers, hosts social events, and networks within international fields of law. They also pair us with international students studying at Loyola so we can make connections abroad and serve as a host to foreign students.
So if you are interested in products liability, Italians in the law, or education and policy in the law, there are clubs here for you to join!
