iOS 5.1 Brings 4G to iPhone 4s, or Does It?

A couple of weeks ago, Apple released its latest firmware upgrade for its iPhone 3GS, 4, and 4S devices.  Those with a 4S device were surprised to see that their AT&T 3G network indicator had been updated to 4G.   Unfortunately, this does not mean one has access to AT&T’s new 4G LTE network, but rather just the HSPA+ network.  Simple put, HSPA+ may be seen as 3G on steroids and some may not see it as a true 4G.  Perhaps we will see 4G LTE support on the iPhone 5, when it is released.
