In today’s world losing all of your documents can be a nightmare. One of the easiest ways to ensure that all of your documents and important data are backed up is to utilize Dropbox. Dropbox is an online application allowing you to upload your selected files onto the company’s server(s). As long as you have an internet connection you can access your files from anywhere in the world.
Dropbox also allows client’s to choose which folders to synchronize and which to ignore. When signing up you receive 2GB of complimentary storage space. However, you can increase the amount of space by referring friends. Each referral will provide you with an additional 250mb. The cool news for students is they can earn 500MB per referral by verifying their accounts using a .edu address and gain up to 8GB of additional free storage for referrals. If anyone needs more storage than that, Dropbox allow users to pay for greater amounts of data storage.
Additionally, Dropbox also allows client’s to both share files and recover previous versions of files. If you accidentally make some changes and you need to revert back to a save state, Dropbox saves all versions of a file for up to 30 days. Isn’t that great!!! You can access your files on a multitude of devices including: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android, Windows Phone 7, iPhone, iPad, WebOS, and BlackBerry. With Dropbox you never have to worry about losing your important files ever again. Click here for more information.
