Lakeside, HSD Faculty Convocation dates set

This year’s Lakeside Faculty Convocation is scheduled for Sunday, September 22, at 3 p.m., in the Mundelein Center Auditorium at the Lake Shore Campus.  This important annual gathering provides a special opportunity to spend time with colleagues from across the University and to hear remarks from Loyola’s President Michael J. Garanzini, S.J., and Provost John Pelissero. It also allows faculty to meet their newest colleagues, and to honor those who have been promoted and/or received tenure, as well as those who have been recognized for outstanding contributions.

To provide an enjoyable setting for this time together, following the Convocation itself, a reception will be held in the Piper Hall Rose Garden and Patio. Faculty are cordially invited to bring a guest to this event. RSVP is requested and can be made by visiting LUC.edu/facultyconvo. We ask that you reply by Wednesday, September 18. Please note that the Main Parking Structure on the Lake Shore Campus will be open for complimentary parking for this event.  Academic regalia is not required.

The following day, the Health Sciences Division will hold its 2013 Faculty Convocation at 5 p.m. (cocktail reception to follow) in the Quiet Study Room of the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing Building. The event will be hosted by Father Garanzini and Health Sciences Provost Richard L. Gamelli.
