Dear Students,

The Terry Student Center was a hub-bub of activity over the summer and we’re happy to report that the renovated building is ready for its official unveiling.

On Monday, August 19, both Lu’s Deli & Pub and the Water Tower Campus Wellness Center opened for business. Lu’s, located on the first floor (also seating on the lower level), offers made-to-order sandwiches that have been specially created for this Water Tower Campus location. In September (exact date TBA) beer and wine will also be available for purchase for those 21 and older.

The Wellness Center, which can be found on the second floor, is excited to expand its current services to the Water Tower Campus, making access to medical and counseling services even easier for those attending classes and living downtown. The clinic will offer medical services and group and individual counseling. For more information about the center, and for Water Tower Campus hours, visit To make appointments, please continue to call Dial-a-Nurse at 773.508.8883 or visit the Wellness Center website. In addition to the Wellness Center, the University Bookstore can now also be found on the second floor of the Terry Student Center.

Lastly, don’t forget that the Water Tower Campus Fitness Studio can now be found on the third floor of the Terry Student Center. Officially opened in April, the studio offers an array of cardio equipment, group fitness classes, and it includes some locker room space. Memberships are available to graduate students, faculty, and staff, as well as Baumhart Hall residents. During the first week of classes (August 26–30), all Loyolans are invited to stop in and check out the facility and give it a try.

A Terry Student Center open house will also be held during the Water Tower Campus Fall Block Party on Thursday, August 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

We look forward to seeing all of you in the newly renovated Terry Student Center and wish you the best of luck on the start of the semester.
