Loyola station partial platform closure
At 9 a.m. on Monday, March 18. after the morning rush, CTA/Kiewit will close the southbound platform at the Loyola stop. The closure is to facilitate completion of the remaining work in the vicinity of the stairs, which includes painting. Reopening is dependent on dry time, but the anticipated closure is expected to be no more than three days.
During this period, all northbound and southbound trains and riders will share the opposite platform at Loyola. The station will remain open during the work and a CTA platform employee will be on hand to assist as needed.
The northbound platform will have a similar closure in the following weeks, as weather permits. Since this will involve track switching of the trains, please allow for extra travel time.
