A Thanksgiving Message from Father Garanzini
Dear Members of the Loyola Community,
As we gather with friends and family to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday this week, we remember in a special way those suffering from the devastation wrought by Hurricane Sandy last month on the east coast. Loyola Responds, a committee with representation from across the University, is coordinating efforts with our Jesuit colleagues in the New York Province to assist students and their families that have been impacted by the hurricane.
Also at this time, Loyola Gives volunteers are working hard to serve needy families in Chicago by raising funds and purchasing winter clothing and other items requested by the families. Thank you for your generosity and support of those in need, not only in our city, but around the world. Additional information on these efforts can be found at LUC.edu/responds and LUC.edu/loyolagives.
Thank you for all you do to make Loyola University Chicago not only a top place to work in Chicago, but an institution committed to offering students a transformative education in the Jesuit tradition.
I wish you and yours a joyful Thanksgiving holiday.
Michael J. Garanzini, S.J.
President and CEO, Loyola University Chicago
