FYI: “L” stop renovations causing traffic delays

Renovations to the Loyola “L” stop began on September 12 with concrete repairs to the viaduct. The east sidewalk directly underneath the viaduct has been closed and the construction has also resulted in various lane closures on Sheridan Road, causing traffic delays at the intersection of Kenmore and Sheridan.

The opening of the new “L” stop entrance is slated for the end of October 2012. At this time, to ease traffic congestion, we recommend individuals use public transportation when available or seek out an alternate route to campus.

Stay tuned to Inside Loyola for additional updates as the renovations of the Loyola “L” stop continue, and please visit the CTA’s website to learn more about the project.
