Passing of Loyola Student – John Versnel IV

Updated at 9 a.m. on Monday, September 17:

A memorial service for John will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Madonna della Strada Chapel on Monday, September 17.

Loyola Community,

We are extremely saddened to inform you that John Versnel IV, a Loyola senior, passed away earlier this morning (September 15) in an accident off campus.

Please keep John’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Please also know that there are services and resources available to assist you if you need them. You may contact staff members in the following offices, during regular business hours.

To John’s family and to all those who knew him:

Please know that you and John are and will always remain in our thoughts and prayers. Your pain and loss are unfathomable and only known to you. Be comforted in knowing that John went to the Lord as the full-of-life and vibrant young man that you will always remember.

Be strong and live fully because you now live for him.
