Name Game winners announced

Loyola Students,

Many of you are probably wondering about the results of the naming contest, for various areas of the new student center, that you have been such a huge part of for the last several weeks. After collecting more than 2,400 votes from the student body, we have our winners, which were announced on Saturday as part of the Weekend of Excellence festivities.

Winners are listed below, along with the runners up:

First Floor Spirit/Merchandise Shop:
Winner—The “L” Stop (submitted by Federico Padrones Salvador)
Runners Up—Rambler Alley, LU’s Closet, The Gold Standard, All Things Rambler

The Ground Level Sports Lounge:
Winner— Ireland’s (submitted by Steve Sykes)
Runners Up—7 Stripes, Sidelines, The Huddle, The Pack

The First Floor Common Lounge (Halas Addition):
Winner—The Den (submitted by Sarah “Frankie” Frank)
Runners Up—Iggy’s Lounge, The Kettle, Room 1870, The Howler

I want to personally thank everyone for their participation in this contest. These names will be forever a part of the new student center and will contribute to the strengthening of pride at Loyola. This would not have been possible without your assistance and voice.

Lastly, I want to remind everyone about the Steel Beam Signing that is being held as part of ((DOP))’s Be Chill Bash, on Friday, April 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., next to Sean Earl Field (rain location is CFSU; Beam Signing is TBD if it rains). Be sure to stop by to personalize a steel beam that will be used in the construction of your new student center.

Sincerely,

Bryan Goodwin
Director, Student Centers
