The Bronzeville Beat: a Photo History

Bronzeville is a vibrant community, located on Chicago’s South Side, with a rich African-American history. Known as the Blues District, Bronzeville is the home to jazz and blues artists, such as Muddy Waters and Nat King Cole. It is also home to the Harold Washington Cultural Center, the first black mayor of Chicago.
