Best Moments from the Rugby World Cup

The 2011 Rugby World Cup ended on Sunday, October 23 after six weeks of intense play between 20 countries from around the world.

While not as popular as American football or soccer – the two sports it is most often compared to – rugby has been steadily growing in popularity in recent years.

The International Olympic Committee voted in 2009 to add rugby to the 2016 Summer Games. This year’s World Cup, hosted by New Zealand, served as an example of why the sport is catching the world’s attention.
