SVCC’s Riti Patel Awarded Fulbright Scholarship

We are very pleased to announce that SVCC Administrative Assistant Riti Patel was recently awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to pursue graduate studies and work in Mexico City, Mexico. As information, the Fulbright program is offered through the Department of State and offers merit-based grants for international educational exchange for students, scholars, teachers, professionals, scientists and artists. The program competitively selects U.S. citizens eligible for scholarships to study, conduct research, or exercise their talents abroad. The program advocates to establish increased mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries through the exchange of persons, knowledge, and skills.

Riti will be paired with a Mexican corporation for a year to learn the complexities and successes of Mexican business, economics, and policy and play an integral role in the company’s internal and external development. Simultaneously she will be taking graduate courses in finance, economics, supply chain, and international relations at ITAM, Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. Many of you have worked with Riti over the last 2 years as she has been very involved in nearly all aspects of the Supply & Value Chain Center from internal and external program development, to communication, to marketing, and the recent upgrades to the SVCC website. Riti has been a key contributor to our success and we will certainly miss her.
