Nominations Open for the SVCC Excellence Awards!

SVCC will recognize individuals or teams in 4 categories for Supply Chain Excellence at the Annual Summit on October 17. Sponsored by Colliers International, this year’s awards and ceremony builds on the inaugural awards last year. The Awards Committee, co-chaired by Rob Payne (Aurora Healthcare) and Jack Rosenberg (Colliers), has identified the 4 awards which may be either individual or team:

  • Supply Chain Excellence is defined both by improving year-over-year performance versus a peer group and by outperforming the industry on a collection of key metrics including but not limited to service level, safety, sustainability, and organizational development.
  • Sustainability is the achievement of top-line growth and bottom-line results for the long term; the responsibility to use methods; system and materials that won’t deplete or harm natural cycles, and an obligation to uphold the social contract with the society in which they operate.
  • Innovation is the application of creating new or improving current solutions that meet new requirements, unarticulated needs, or existing market needs through more effective products, processes, or technologies.
  • Leadership award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated the values-based leadership espoused by our founder, St. Ignatius of Loyola: responsible leadership with a consistent focus on personal integrity, ethical behavior, and a balance between justice and fairness. Ignatius of Loyola and his followers trained leaders who “understood their strengths, their weaknesses and their values, and had a vision of the world; embraced change and adapted themselves to a changing world; treated others with love and with a positive attitude; and strengthened themselves by providing them with heroic ambitions” (Chris Lowney).

Nominations will be open until August 5, 2016. Please click here for nomination form. Any questions, please contact Harry Haney at hhaney@luc.edu .
