NFL Draft in Chicago

Matheus Ale takes a look at the upcoming NFL draft:

As the NFL draft approaches, so does the madness behind its mock drafts. Whether it is Todd McShay, Mel Kipper Jr. or Adam Franz, none of them will ever stop guessing which player each team will take come May. The truth behind it all is that most NFL teams have not even finished their own draft boards yet, so how could these so called specialists ‘know’ exactly what each team wants? For example, one draft specialist has the Miami Dolphins with the fourteenth overall pick taking Washington’s Marcus Peters. That is nonsense. Such a pick makes no sense whatsoever and here are a couple of reasons why: Did everybody forget the Dolphins locker room bullygate scandal? Did people not consider the fact that head coach Joe Philbin does not coach players with strong personalities? Or is it that these ‘specialists’ are just guessing? Yes, we are talking about the same Marcus Peters that was kicked off his own college team. Peters would be lucky at best to even be included in the Dolphins draft board. As Omar Kelly from South Florida’s Sun Sentinel says, the ones who can truly predict what each team will do with their picks are the local reporters because they are the ones who understand what the head coach wants and what the general manager thinks he needs.
