Spring Break Studying (and Savoring) Santiago, Chile

An adventurous group of thirteen students in Quinlan’s Graduate School of Business are heading away from chilly Chicago to the warmer Chile south of the equator for our Spring Break.  With temperatures in the 80’s and sunny, clear days that mark early-autumn in that part of the world, we are mixing business with pleasure in an action- and meeting-packed week.  The group will converge at noon this coming Saturday to begin our exploration with a tour of this beautiful, historic city.  These students are enrolled in the course MGMT/MARK 475, Cross-Cultural Dimensions of International Management and Marketing.  As they explore doing business in this South American country, they are applying their knowledge to projects that compare aspects of U.S. business with parallels in Santiago .

Our students will be documenting their week in this space.  Abbey Rosenwinkel will serve as a guest blogger and will update our activities each day.  The other students will add their comments, pictures and insights.  We also welcome questions and comments from readers.  Wherever your Spring Break plans take you, we hope you will follow and enjoy our Odyssey to the Southern Hemisphere.
