Mission Accomplished!

Today our first cohort of Intercontinental MBA students finishes the last of their coursework and completes their degrees.  It has been a quick eleven months and these full-time students have been diligent and engaged since last August.  They participated in the Graduation Festivities in mid-May, but their final courses, including the capstone in which they generated full-blown business plans, happened during their Chicago Residency in June.

As their Program Director and Mentor, I have grown fond of the individuals in this group of program pioneers.  Their intelligence, enthusiasm for learning and work ethic are impressive.  We have traveled and lived together for extended residencies in South Africa, Chile, China and Southeast Asia during this past year.  While experiencing these emerging economies, the students demonstrated maturity, flexibility, tolerance, professionalism and (importantly) an appropriate sense of humor when conditions demanded.  I am proud of each individual and look forward to following the successful careers that lie ahead for each of them. As with all our Quinlan grads, they have critically and thoughtfully discussed the role of business and their role in society.  I wish them the best as they go forward, in the Ignatian tradition, to set the world on fire.
