Travel the World and Earn Your MBA
Next year at this time our first cohort of full time Intercontinental MBA (IMBA) students will be gathered on our Water Tower Campus at the Quinlan School in Chicago for orientation and the beginning of their year-long educational odyssey. They will be taking graduate courses online, and their subsequent face-to-face meeting will be in South Africa the following October. During the academic year the students will also meet in South America, China, New York and Chicago.
This innovative program is on-line and on the ground on four continents. With an emphasis on emerging markets, while solidly built on a foundation of business principles and analytics, the IMBA program is designed for dedicated students who seek an accelerated, innovative and rigorous curriculum associated with this well-respected credential. The fusion of international business expertise with deep cultural immersion intensifies the transformative educational experience all students experience at the Quinlan School of Business.
As a person who has explored and learned from travel and cultural experiences and interactions around the world, I am pleased that we have initiated this program. As Director of the IMBA, I have met with and corresponded with several excited potential students. As with any truly innovative proposal, it is sometimes difficult to understand the details of this online and on-site degree. I will discuss details of this program and the various residency sites in subsequent blogs. Meanwhile, I encourage any questions and comments to this blog. Also visit our IMBA website at http://www.luc.edu/quinlan/international-mba/index.shtml.
It may inspire you to take the GMAT and start packing a suitcase.

I love this idea! I’ve been waiting to see more development of the international business department and I’ve finally gotten my wish! I can’t wait to see what’s in the works for the undergraduate international programs. Maybe a year long program similar to that of the Ricci scholars, but with a focus on international commerce? Who knows, but congratulations on kicking off the IMBA!
Thanks, Molly! We’re really excited about the program. If you want more information you can request information here: http://orpheus.it.luc.edu/gpem/request/index.cfm, and here is the website for the program: http://luc.edu/quinlan/international-mba/index.shtml.
Thanks, Molly! If you’re interested in learning more, here’s the progam’s website: http://luc.edu/quinlan/international-mba/index.shtml.
