Try out these fun recipes with produce from this week’s CSA:

Garlic Green Beans


  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 garlic head, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound of green beans, drained
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  1. Melt butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat
  2. Add garlic and cook until lightly browned, stirring frequently
  3. Stir in green beans
  4. Season with salt and pepper
  5. Cook until beans are tender (about 10 minutes)
  6. Remove from heat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
Creamy Dill and Cucumber Toast
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian style salad dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 French baguette (cut into 1/2 inch thick circles)
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons dried dill
  1. Mix together cream cheese, dressing mix, and mayonnaise in a medium bowl
  2. Spread a thin layer of the mixture on a slice of bread
  3. Top with a slice of cucumber
  4. Sprinkle with dill
  5. Repeat with remaining ingredients
