The School of Education and the entire Loyola Community mourn the death of Dr. Richard “RJ” Ostry. Dr. Ostry earned both his doctorate and master’s degrees in Administration and Supervision. Faculty from the School continued to work with “RJ” in his role as Assistant Director for Continuing Education at Roosevelt University. Online condolences may be made.

It is with sorrow that the School of Education notes the passing on March 8th of a highly respected and admired faculty member, Dr. Jack A. Kavanagh. Jack arrived at Loyola in 1971 and through outstanding scholarly contributions to our school through teaching, research, and service he was promoted to Associate Professor (1977) and to Professor (1984).
