The School of Education Student Development Committee hosted a Brown Bag on November 17, 2015, Getting A Job in Academia. SOE faculty, Steven Brown, Eilene Edejer, Blanca Torres-Olave and Eunju Yoon provided helpful information and answered questions about how to best prepare for a career with a doctoral degree.

Mac is originally from North Carolina, and is a recent graduate from DePaul University in Religious Studies. Mac is situated at the 11th floor reception desk. Toni Brasher Rothschild was recently promoted as the Administrative Assistant to the Teaching and Learning Program. For the past year, Toni was the Office Assistant/Receptionist. Her smiling face greeted you daily as you entered the 11th floor. You now can find her on the 10th floor at #1005.

The Teaching with Primary Sources program at Loyola University Chicago program helps Chicago-area K-12 educators use the Library of Congress‘ rich reservoir of digitized primary source materials to design challenging, high-quality instruction. Dr. John M. Wozniak joined the faculty of Loyola University Chicago in 1950. One year later, he was made acting chair of the Department of Education. He served 18 years in that capacity until the founding of the School of Education in 1969, when he became dean, a position he held for another 10 years.

TiVo, the Wellness Center’s Therapy Dog paid a visit to the School last Thursday. TiVo, who resides at the Lake Shore Campus will visit the Water Tower Campus the first Thursday of every month.
