National Association for Multicultural Education Conference
Caleb Steindam and Anna Lees, current students in the EdD Curriculum and Instruction program, presented at the National Association for Multicultural Conference in Tucson, Arizona. Their presentation, Community Experiences of Collaborative Teacher Preparation: Working Together to Improve Urban Indigenous Education. The presentation informed teacher educators and community leaders about the experiences of on indigenous community organization’s collaboration with a non-indigenous university to prepare teacher candidates to understand and address the needs of urban indigenous children by identifying and utilizing established community assets.
