Loyola University Chicago’s Center for Catholic School Effectiveness Partners with Catholic Schools in Principal Preparation Grant

CCSE_2010_teamLoyola University Chicago is one of four Illinois universities that was recently awarded the Illinois Partnerships Advance Rigorous Training (IL-PART) grant. This $4.64 million U.S. Department of Education School Leadership Grant represents a collaborative effort between districts and universities aimed at improving the way principals prepare and develop in Illinois. The program also aims to better retain future leaders for schools.

“This is an exciting opportunity for the Catholic schools of Springfield, Rockford, and Peoria,” said Michael J. Boyle, PhD, CCSE assistant director and project coordinator. “This grant will allow CCSE to coordinate resources and develop collegial structures to ensure that these schools will continue to have quality instructional leaders for the future”
