Higher Education Students Receive Recognition
Aliza Gilbert, current student in the PhD Higher Education program, was invited to serve on the panel for Education Issues in Immigration Reform in Washington, DC. We commend her participation in working toward creating a more socially just society.
Kristina “Tina” Garcia, current MEd in Higher Education, was named the Outstanding Masters Level Graduate Student for the Commission for Student Involvement through ACPA for 2013-2014.
Michael Bumbry, current student in the PhD Higher Education Program, has received the Outstanding Doctoral Student of the Year Award 2013-2014 from the ACPA Standing Committee for Graduate Students and New Professionals (SCGSNP). Michael’s primary research interest is philanthropy among marginalized groups at predominantly White institutions. He is being recognized by the SCGSNP for his contributions to the Loyola community and ACPA.
