Prevent overage charges on your cell phone
So you’re a poor college student who can’t afford to go over your minutes on your cell phone plan. Join the club. I might have a tip that can save you big bucks in the long run. What is it you say? Skype.Skype, like AOL instant messenger, is a free program available on PCs and Macs that allows you to instant message your friends, call them from your Skype account to theirs, and to even have video chats. But what’s even cooler are two features they offer for very cheap.”Skypeout” requires you to pay a mere $30 for the year and in return you can make unlimited calls from your computer to any cell phone in North America. You heard me right. For $30 you can make as many calls as you want, following fair use. Save your cell phone minutes while you’re at home or at school. Just find a spot with wifi, (not hard to do), and dial away. The second service is an additional $30. “SkypeIn” allows you to receive a real telephone number that you can choose from so that your friends can call you and your Skype program will ring! Again unlimited calls provided you’re not on the phone all day and night. (Fair use applies.)You can even pair up a bluetooth headset, commonly used for phones, to your computer (if it has Bluetooth), and walk around your apartment talking wirelessly to your family and freinds. 60 bucks for a years worth of “free” internet phone calls. No worries about minutes! I save a lot of money with SkypeIn and SKypeOut and I hope you will too.Enjoy :)Ryan
