CCE Director Professor Noah W. Sobe becomes CIES President-Elect

At the recent its recent annual meeting in Vancouver, Canada CCE Director Professor Noah W. Sobe became President-Elect of the US-based Comparative and International Education Society (CIES).  With over 3000 members from over 120 countries CIES is the largest and oldest comparative and international education professional association in existence.  In 2015-2016 Sobe served as Vice-President of CIES and now as President-Elect his primary responsibilities shift to planning and serving as the Program Chair of the 2017 CIES Annual Meeting which will take place in Atlanta, Georgia March 5-9, 2017.  He has set the theme of the 2017 CIES conference as “Problematizing (In)Equality: The Promise of Comparative and International Education”.  For his full message announcing the 2017 conference, click here.
