Epstein Sobe CIES 2016

Emeritus Professor and CCE Founding Director Erwin H. Epstein recently gave the George F. Kneller Lecture at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) 2016 annual conference in Vancouver, Canada.  In Professor Epstein’s talk, entitled “Why Comparative and International Education? Reflections on the Conflation of Names,” he noted that Loyola’s CCE is one of only two Comparative education centers worldwide to exclusively label itself a “comparative education” center.  The Kneller lecture is the premier keynote address of the CIES Annual Conference and Prof. Epstein was introduced by LUC alumnus Dr. Desmond Odugu, now on the faculty at Lake Forest College (IL).
