A group of 16 students in Loyola’s MEd program in International Higher Education spent the first week of January in China as part of a hybrid J-Term course that involved one week at Loyola’s campus, The Beijing Center.  The course was titled “International Higher Education” (ELPS 448) and was taught by Professor Noah W. Sobe.  It involved meetings with Chinese professors and students, visits to Chinese Universities and also several cultural excursions.  The group is pictured here outside the auditorium building at Tsinghua University (built 1920 and modeled on Thomas Jefferson’s rotunda at the University of Virginia).
