Posted on: April 28th, 2012 by CCE Guest

In addition to over a dozen presentations by Loyola graduate students and faculty at CIES 2012 — not to mention the presentation of research and work undertaken by alumni from the Comparative and International Education program at Loyola University Chicago — we are pleased to announce three accomplishments in particular.

* Dr. José Cossa * a 2008 Loyola PhD graduate in Comparative and International Education was awarded the CIES 2012 Joyce Cain Award for Distinguished Research.  Dr. Cossa’s acceptance remarks can be found here.

* Dr. Erwin Epstein * Emeritus Professor was designated a CIES Honorary Fellow in recognition of his lifetime accomplishments and contributions to the field and to the Society.

* Dr. Noah W. Sobe * Associate Professor and Director of Loyola’s Center for Comparative Education was elected to serve a three year term (2012-2015) on the CIES Board of Directors.
