Web Pages

I hope you’re pleased with the “look and feel” of our new web pages.

In the first version we rolled out, we got some feedback from interdisciplinary programs that they felt pushed to the margin of the page. Although they’re still there, we’ve tried to make them more prominent by changing the font size, style and background. A separate category was also created for “Related Programs” so that they would be in their own group. Ultimately, we remain a college based on departments, with the interdisciplinary programs growing out of them both disciplinarily and administratively.

Now that we’ve gotten the CAS home page into relatively good shape, IT will be working with individual departments and interdisciplinary programs to transfer their pages as well to the new template and system. Your content manager will hopefully be contacted soon.  Meanwhile, I ask you to make use of the news, calendar and blog features. If you have any questions on how this works, please contact Chris Abplanalp in UMC (cabplan@luc.edu).

Very nice layout. It is helpful that there is more uniformity accross the university, in regards to the schools webpages.

I see Computer Science has now stepped into the new format – it looks great. I am concerned, however, that previews in T4 suggest the central panel for text is too narrow for some of the formatting that was imposed under the previous content-management system.
