Social Bookmarking on Blackboard
Thursday, January 14th, 2010Q. Is there a way to do social bookmarking on Blackboard?
A. Scholar is a free, social bookmarking Web service, aimed at connecting faculty and students. You will find a Scholar tab on the My Institution page when you log into Blackboard at Loyola.
Scholar allows instructors and students to:
Add web sites to their Scholar bookmarks directly from their browsers
Import existing bookmarks from browsers or other social bookmarking services
Do simple or advanced searchs by tag, discipline, and/or institution
Save bookmarks and searches to a Scholar collection to use in research or a course; name, classify (“tag”) and describe the resources, including tagging by courses
See what other people have tagged, how they have tagged it and who they are
