BlackBoard Service Alerts

On Friday January 29th, 2010, between the hours of 01:00 am and 05:00 am US Central, Blackboard’s Managed Hosting Storage Infrastructure Team will be performing preventative maintenance at their VA2 and VA3 data center.

While Blackboard anticipates no interruption in service as a result of the work, it cannot be entirely ruled out that they might have to restart services on a few client systems. Hence they are performing the work during the normal maintenance window to minimize any potential risk.

Between 11:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. CST on January 15, 2010, one of Blackboard’s service providers will be performing emergency upgrades to their core routing platforms due to a recently discovered security vulnerability.

While this maintenance is not expected to cause service interruptions, service degradation in the form of packet loss or latency may occur.
