Blackboard Scholar Maintenance October 10-11

Blackboard Managed Hosting has notified Loyola that Blackboard Scholar will be intermittently unavailable while undergoing maintenance on Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th.  This maintenance window is to update the hardware and network infrastructure of these products. The expected outcomes of this update are:  

  • Increased capacity for this service
  • Improved performance of this application
  • Increased stability

The systems are expected to be intermittently unavailable from morning (EST) on October 10th through morning (EST) on October 11th.  Users will not be able to access their Blackboard Scholar bookmarks during this maintenance period.

Service Interruption Oct. 23, 1:00am – 5:00 am

During Blackboard’s regular weekly maintenance window of 1:00 am to 5:00 am CST on Friday, October 23rd, 2009, Managed Hosting Engineers will perform proactive maintenance.

Faculty, students, and staff should expect service interruption and periods of inactivity during this maintenance window. Blackboard will make all efforts to keep the interruption to a minimum.

Blackboard Not Available Oct. 5, 1:00 a.m.-5:00 a.m.

On Monday morning, October 5th, from 1:00 am through 5:00 am, the Blackboard course management system will not be available. The Blackboard technical staff will be conducting system-wide service maintenance.
