BlackBoard Service Alerts

On February 20th, the Virginia Department of Transportation will be doing construction work near the datacenter where Loyola’s hosted environment is located.  The work will take place from 11 PM EST on 2/20 and continue until 5 AM EST on 2/21.  There may be very brief periods of inactivity but we do not anticipate a significant impact to our network providers.  There will be no impact on Blackboard’s internal networks, and all servers and services will continue under normal operation.  We apologize for any inconvenience.

Loyola’s instance of Blackboard is hosted on Blackboard’s servers. Occasionally it is necessary for Blackboard to perform maintenance  on their network infrastructure, which may result in brief outages. This work is usually done at night or very early in the morning, when Blackboard assumes it will inconvenience the smallest number of users.

A message will be posted in this blog as soon as Loyola hears of a planned outage.
