AnĀ integralĀ part of St. Louis’ performing arts scene, the Union Avenue Opera is seeking an Administrative & Marketing Intern and two Production Interns.
An Administrative & Marketing Intern will work closely with the company’s Administrative Director and gain valuable experience in media relations, group sales, non-profit organization, patron services, and social media. Duties may include, but are not limited to, answering phones, updating press contacts, pitching to media, making cold calls, updating social media networks, website maintenance, writing press releases, arranging interviews, coordinating volunteers, and processing ticket orders.
The two Production Interns will work closely with Union Avenue Opera’s Production Manager to assist with the upcoming 2012 Festival Season. Duties may include, but are not limited to, answering phones, communicating with cast/orchestra, coordinating production volunteers, interfacing with production crew, running errands, and sitting in on rehearsals.
Both internships are unpaid but course credit is available.
