Some people choose to shop local. Others eat local. Here at Loyola, we exhibit local with an exhibition of Chicago’s own emerging artists. More Than Naked is curated by Christian Rieben, a painting instructor at Loyola and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The works exhibited consist of pieces in which the materials are very evident, but through the artist’s manipulation, the finished piece transcends those physical materials, exhibiting something far beyond a few scraps of cardboard or bunches of string. Featured artists include Karolina Gnatowski, Chris Lin, Matthew Hilshorst, Betsy Odom, Nancy Lu Rosenheim, Hans Sundquist, and Jim Zimpel.
