Eleemosynary, meaning “of, dependent on, or relating to charity,” illustrates the lives and complex relationships of three generations of women in a troubled family. An eccentric, aging matriarch has just had a stroke, her middle-aged daughter has long been estranged, and her precocious teenage granddaughter tries to bring them together.
