Loyola Staff and Alumni Receive 2013 Equity Jeff Awards

The Jeff Awards has been awarding theatre artists for over 40 years, and Loyola is proud to announce that five faculty and alumni of Loyola University Chicago are recipients of specific 2013 Equity Jeff Awards.

Alumnae Elizabeth Ledo received Best Actress In A Supporting Role in a Play for her performance in Tartuffe at the Court Theatre. Ledo graduated from Loyola in 1998 and has since worked a number of Chicago theatres as well as doing voice over work for numerous commercials and video games.

Linda Fortunato works as a coreographer for Loyola, coreographing productions such as Urinetown and the upcoming Hot Mikado. Fortunato received a Coreography Award at the Jeff Awards for her coreography work in 42nd Street at Theatre at the Center.

The Jeff Award for Production of a Midsize Play included three of Loyola’s own including Alex Meadows (Costume Design), alumnae Julie Eberhardt (Propmaster), and alumnae Ana Espinosa (Stage Manager). The three worked on the production of 33 Variations for TimeLine Theatre Company.

Over 250 theatrical productions are evaluated for Jeff Awards by a 50 member committee. Loyola congratulates these faculty and alumni for their awards and is proud of all of their achievements!
