Andersonville Dessert Crawl

The only way exploration of a new area is useful at all is if you know you’ll find something worth while there. So why the DPFA would advocate crawling around the desert of Andersonville is beyond this blogger. I mean there’s dirt, rattlesnakes, a brutal heat…oh wait, dessert crawl. Well, this changes everything!

Head on down to Andersonville (look for N. Clark street off the Berwyn Red Line stop) on October 27th and check out the 8th Annual Andersonville Dessert Crawl! From seeing Chicago staples like Ann Sather or stores like the Swedish Bakery that celebrate Andersonville’s Swedish heritage, you’ll have no shortage of sweets to enjoy. Take your choice of two routes that give you an opportunity to taste a little of everything this great Chicago neighborhood has to offer.

Tickets cost either $20 in advance or $25 on October 27th.  The event will run from 2 – 5 PM. Click here for more information on the event, and keep checking up for specific routes and more ticket information!
