Chicago Dance Crash is burning up the stage of “Gotham City” in this fully choreographed graphic novel on stage. The show runs until July 15 with shows Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:30PM and Sundays at 3PM.
The spectacular thing about this performance is its two hours of non-stop dance. No one breaks out into song or performs a humdrum monologue. It’s just dance, up close and personal.

The Tribune raves, “That’s in your face literally–the arena seating at the DCA Storefront Theater turns the stage into something of a boxing ring. Viewers sit on all four sides, each containing only two rows of seating, so there’s both the intimacy and a heightened sense of the danger of the athletics. One slip, and a dancer might wind up in your lap–or worse.”
In “Gotham City,” as a city is taken hostage from sunset to sunrise, only the few left moving on pure instinct can struggle to survive this criminal underworld with their humanity intact. With a amazing fusion of dance styles, 10 million people are brought to life by 20 explosive dancers fluent in classic and contemporary forms refined in rehearsal rooms and the subway platforms of Chicago in a moving-portrait of one night in the dark life of urban and underworld America.
Make sure you snatch your tickets while you still can for this awesome dance explosion!
