Celebrate Excellence with Loyola Arts

Being a Loyola student myself, I’m sure it sounds completely biased when I say that many Loyola students are really awesome and impressive human beings. In four years at this school I have met and seen the work of so many students who are brilliant scholars, talented artists, and passionate community volunteers. This weekend, we honor our students that continually go above and beyond our expectations with the annual Weekend of Excellence.

Amidst various departmental awards ceremonies and receptions (theĀ  full schedule for the Weekend of Excellence is online), the Department of Fine and Performing Arts has several events to celebrate the work of our own students. We’ve already told you about the brilliant work of our theatre students in this weekend’s final performances A Streetcar Named Desire, but we have two other arts events this weekend to which we’d love to invite you all.

Find respite from city dins with the dulcet tones of our most talented music students at the Honors Recital tonight. If you’re free on Sunday, stop by the Ralph Arnold Fine Arts Annex to immerse your sense of sight in the capstone projects of our visual arts seniors at the 2012 Senior Exhibition, complete with a reception at the newly-opened Coffee Shop next door.

If you have any questions about any of these events, don’t hesitate to contact the Box Office. Once again, we’re so proud of all our students! Congratulations on your hard work!
