For those of you studying theatre or maybe just interested in learning more about staged sword fighting, consider taking the Single Weapon Class in Rapier and Dagger with Chuck Coyl at Evanstan’s Actors Gymnasium!
Teaching classes in everything from circus arts to contortion and aerial arts, the Actors Gymnasium will present this specific style of sword play found in plays like Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, The Three Musketeers, and Cyrano de Bergerac. Offering the basics of double fence style, students will also have the opportunity to take the skills proficiency test for the Society of American Fight Directors.
All levels of experience are welcome. The class will be held Sundays between April 15 and June 10 from 10:30AM-2PM. The cost is $375.
