If you prefer, you can send a check to Loyola University Chicago with a line on the memo indicating “Life After Innocence Project” to the following address:

We also welcome any suggestion you may have to be a part of our Project.
Current needs of the Project’s clients:
Jerry Miller
(Wrongfully convicted for robbery, kidnapping and rape, which DNA showed conclusively he could never had committed. Jerry served 26 years in prison, maintaining his innocence, until the Innocence Project in New York helped to exonerate him. He has a pardon from the state, but has not received any financial or other assistance).
Needs:
- Business mentoring (Jerry wants to explore starting his own small business)
- Tuition for school (Jerry would like to take business classes at a community college or workforce center)
Dean Cage
(Wrongfully convicted for rape, which DNA showed conclusively he could never had committed. Dean served 12 years in prison (and 2 in county), maintaining his innocence, until the Innocence Project in New York helped to exonerate him. He has a pardon from the state, but has not received any financial or other assistance. Dean’s fiance, Jewel, has stuck by him the entire time).
Needs:
- Tuition for school (Dean would like to take classes to learn a trade).
Jovan Mosley
(Beginning at age 19, spent 6 years in a Cook County holding cell, waiting to defend his innocence after being forced into a confession that he had been involved in a fight (which resulted in the death of a man). Jury took only a few hours to declare a not-guilty, but Jovan reentered society at age 25 with no home, no ID, no possessions, no money)
Needs:
- Laptop (Jovan is a student at Loyola University Chicago and works nights at a troubled children’s home and needs a laptop to be able to perform school work).
- Tuition for school (Loyola University has wonderfully provided a grant for some of Jovan’s tuition in order for him to obtain his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, but he is taking out loans for the rest).
