I am a volunteer at a women's prison. I currently mentor a lady of 36 who is serving 30 years for vehicular homicide. However, the car she hit is the one that ran the red light, not her. She is Cuban and from Miami area. Because of the money and politics of the family of the deceased persons, she was convicted and has served 9 years for something that was not her fault. I would like to know how I can get legal help for her to get her case re-opened. The lawyers she has had have not done a good job for her. THank you.

I've put a call out to one of our HR reps in the Chicago area. I was so impressed with Ronald and your project that if he does get a job with another company, I am hoping the company I work for can help someone else in your project.

I am overwhelmed but not surprised by the stories. I was falsely accused of a crime approx. 6 yrs. ago I was poor and I could not afford a legal defense and I could not post bond because my family was/is poor so I was put in jail for 6 months. Fortuneatly for me a jury of 12 found me not guilty but in the 6 mo's I was in jail. I lost my truck, my home was sold for taxes and my reputation was completely ruined. Its hard for me to get a job because when employers run a criminal background check it comes up that I had been charged with a crime even though I was found not guilty! I even tried to get a job with the U.S. Census and they would not hire me and I have advanced college degrees. Is their a life after not guilty project???

Being from the same area as Dean and hearing about this story is one thing but to actually read the actual facts and seeing it on Dr. Phil today really hit home. If this could happen to Dean it could happen to any of us. And to Jewel she has the correct name because that is what she is a jewel because even though Dean was the one that was actually locked up Jewel was doing time also. I am just so happy that it was in the lords plan to make this wrong a right because as the saying goes what doesn't kill us will make us stronger and looking at clips of these two and reading about them it seems to have definately make them stronger. I hope nothing but the best for these two and i hope what's meant for them will come to them. God Bless.

I am hope that God's plan is reveiled to the world of the importantance of being able to give God praise even in the mist of a tragedy. I to know Dean from Arkansas and I pray that he will keep trusting in God. That his family and friends show him much love. We may never truly know why God uses us to show others that he is God all by himself. Yet his spirit shines in Dean---- and I pray for him and Jewel and their families. I also pray for Loretta and Monte. Dean if you read this my brother can still kick your butt on the b-ball court like back in the day-----Smile!!!! See you in AR this summer.
